City to Create Multipurpose Card Transaction

City Administration is designing multipurpose card to boost non-transaction use in capital.

Head of Jakarta Communications, Informatics, Public Relations (Diskominfomas) Department, Ii Karunia stated that his side is currently brainstorming with Bank DKI to design Jakarta Payment System.

“This is just initial concept as concerning the existing e-money concept had been applied but its different, we gonna to combine its use,” he expressed at City Hall, Tuesday (12/1).

Karunia conveyed this card can be used to pay retribution, tax payment until grab Transjakarta. This multipurpose card provided to ease residents at once ease Government to offer discount.

“If it integrated, discount offering can be controlled,” he expressed.

Nevertheless, since this is still in discussion phase, he admitted that he has no idea when the system applied.

“This is merely discourse as Bank DKI cannot give us any data,” he uttered.
